The IGEN 3 Intermediate Shaft 
The synthetic-coated 16 tooth square contact sliding intermediate shaft provides improved force to slip and torsional backlash reduction. Additional enhancements include a fully sealed wear section and synthetic grease as standard. An optional grease zerk is available as a service feature. A greasable seal system is available for severe duty applications. The steel construction and careful attention to tolerance allow a temperature window from  -40° to 120°C. Multiple levels of corrosion protection which include prime coat, powder coat and zinc nickel. All of these enhancements and product features provide proven results in improved steering performance, reduced noise and longer life.

Rolling Intermediate Shaft
The Rolling Intermediate Shaft (RFIS) from THK Rhythm Automotive offers best-in-class performance and value. The RFIS provides best in class force to slip and torsional lash. A ball bearing and steel interface is engineered to obtain optimum wear and durability performance.  An integrated plastic sleeve is used to dampen and reduce/eliminate NVH issues. Additional enhancements include a fully sealed wear section and synthetic grease as standard. The steel construction and careful attention to tolerance allow a temperature window from -40° to 120°C.
